SNAKEOUT™ wants people to understand that snakes want nothing to do with people. Snakes don't chase you, don't want to bite and don't want to have any interaction with humans or pets. Sadly, snakes don't understand the concept of a yard and property, and your yard is a extension of their habitat. 

The majority of snakes in California are completely harmless. Only one species of potentially dangerous snakes is in Northern California-  Pacific Rattlesnakes (Crotalus oreganus). Rattlesnakes have no desire to bite but will if cornered, surprised or provoked.  SNAKEOUT™ strongly discourages people from messing with these animals. Bites are dangerous and can lead to hospitalization, permanent damage and possibly life threatening complications.

If you see a snake and are unsure what species it is, DO NOT TOUCH IT! Please call us immediately and if you can, please take a photo. SNAKEOUT™ can ID snakes from photos and explain if removal is necessary. In general, SNAKEOUT™ tries to encourage living with snakes. Snakes are wonderful free pest control and we want people to learn how to love wildlife. However, there is a risk when living with rattlesnakes in a yard and v understands its not for everyone.
